ISTT holds 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of IASP 2018 Isfahan Conference

This year the 34^th IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation was held in Istanbul in September. The IASP Secretariat together with Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) as the host organization of next year’s conference took advantage of the coming together of the science and technology community from all over the world at the conference to organize and hold the second Steering Committee meeting for the 35^th IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation in Isfahan.

The Steering Committee meeting which had participants from many countries including Spain, Sweden, China, Brazil, Morocco and Iran covered subjects in relation to choosing key speakers for the conference, the timeframe for presenting articles, the manor to which articles should be evaluated by the steering committee and IASP’s online abstract and article submission platform.

The 35^th IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation will be held in the historic city of Isfahan by ISTT from the 2^nd to the 5^th of September, 2017. The theme of the conference is “Towards sustainable cities and communities: fostering innovation ecosystems” and the main discussion will be about “How can new age STPs and AOIs contribute to the development of sustainable cities? “What urban and social challenges can be addressed by STPs and other areas of innovation? How can they foster communities with integrated policies towards sustainability?” and “New trends or innovations in business incubation, acceleration and spin-off: how can entrepreneurship support growth and sustainability in STPs and AOIs”.
